Why AV Projects Need Dedicated Project Management

Even a well-designed AV system can fail to deliver if decisions, dependencies and responsibilities are not managed. AV work often sits between construction, electrical, IT, interior design and venue operations, so coordination is essential.
Phantom Production Design provides project management for AV installations and technical venue projects. Our role can include programme development, design coordination, procurement support, contractor communication, site meetings, progress tracking, change control and quality checks.
Good project management protects programme and budget. Potential clashes can be resolved before teams arrive on site, while proposed changes are assessed for their effect on performance, cost and completion dates. Clients gain one informed point of contact for technical progress.
During commissioning and handover, we make sure testing, documentation, training and outstanding items are properly addressed. A system that is physically installed is not necessarily ready for operational use. Our project management can support systems designed by Phantom PD or provide client-side oversight of another contractor’s work.
